Applied AI on stage

Akram Ahmed, Orfloat co-founder and CTO, delivered Orfloat’s stage presentation. He opened with the changes AI already brings to business. He then presented the systems Orfloat builds: autonomous agents, realtime voice systems, private local AI, multiplayer AI workspaces, and data modelling and processing.

The presentation also showed work from Orfloat’s recent technical workshops with Europcar Oman and the United Architects Philippines Oman Chapter. These examples connected the systems on the screen with the practical work of helping teams use AI inside their own operations.

A room designed for connection

BCI describes itself as a platform where businesses from different industries connect, collaborate, and grow. It presents Business Carnival as its quarterly networking event, combining business introductions and presentations with direct conversation.

Season 6 made that model visible. The room moved between short stage sessions, the Why Invest in Oman? panel, and one-to-one meetings between people from across Oman’s business community. Businesses had a direct way to introduce their work, and space to continue the discussion at the tables.

Mufassir Ahmed Shaik, Orfloat co-founder and CEO, took part in the event’s one-to-one business networking. The roles were distinct: Akram presented Orfloat’s technical work on stage, while Mufassir joined the business conversations around it.

Ahead of the event, BCI featured Mufassir in its Business Carnival campaign as Orfloat’s CEO and co-founder.

For Orfloat, that format connected a short account of applied AI on stage with the questions and operating needs raised in conversation.

Muscat’s entrepreneurship community in motion

The strongest impression was not one presentation or one introduction. It was the movement between them: ideas raised on stage, questions carried to the tables, and new conversations starting across the room.

BCI created the conditions for those conversations. Orfloat brought applied AI into them, not as a distant forecast but as work built in Muscat. That is what a thriving entrepreneurship community looks like: companies sharing what they know, asking better questions, and building the next connection in the room.
