Attribution is built in. ## 3. Capability-overhang thesis Orfloat's reason for existing. **The most consequential gap in business today is not between what AI *could* do and what AI *can* do. It is the gap between what AI *can already do* and what most teams are actually using it for.** The frontier moves weekly. Anthropic shipped a new flagship model in April 2026, with adjacent Labs releases the same week. In March 2026, Anthropic published *What 81,000 people want from AI* — the largest multilingual qualitative study of AI users ever run. The most striking finding is the gulf between what power-users get out of Claude and what casual users do. That gap is the capability overhang. PwC projected AI would contribute roughly **USD 320 billion to the Middle East economy by 2030**, with the UAE and Saudi Arabia capturing the lion's share and Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait splitting a long tail. Oman's own Vision 2040 names a knowledge economy and digital transformation as first-class priorities. The framing is there. The execution cadence inside privately-held businesses is not. The overhang is not a tooling problem and not a knowledge problem — it is an **embedding** problem. The integration with the actual POS, the actual supplier WhatsApp thread, the actual reservations system never happens, because no one inside the business owns making it happen and most agencies don't do this work. Forward-deployed engineering — as practiced inside Anthropic and at Stripe and Palantir before them — is the answer. Not consulting. Not training decks.
